A savage Depresión Aislada en Niveles Altos (DANA) is barrelling towards southern Spain, with meteorologists warning of torrential rain, fierce winds, and even SNOW in some parts of Andalucía.

AEMET has issued an alert, warning residents to be prepared for a potentially devastating start to the month of February.

Aemet, the State Meteorological Agency, has issued a warning that for the time being, high-risk weather warnings will continue to be in place on the Costa del Sol. While Malaga battles the brunt of the storm, neighbouring Cádiz and Granada are also on yellow alert, bracing for heavy rain.
