Felipe VI Auditorium in Estepona next Saturday, February 8, will host the ‘UNIT Dance Championships of Spain’, in which over five hundred dancers of all ages, from six years old, from academies throughout the country will participate.
Estepona will host its first dance competition, and the Martina Tessaro Dance School, which also has students performing, will be the host.
The goal of the championship is promoting dance among children and adolescents and showing them what possibilities it offers to them in terms of a professional career, getting fit, or simply having fun.
The championships, which take place between 10am and 8pm, include competitions in various disciplines, such as Ballet and Modern dance, Jazz, Show Dance and Contemporary, Acrobatics, and Folk in both amateur categories.
The dancers that qualify for this semifinal in Spain will represent Spain at the European Finals in Germany, which will take place from April 30 through May 3.
The event is open to the general public, and will include two master classes in between breaks. Tickets are available at the box office from one hour before the event: €20 for adults and €15 for children under 11 years old.
Felipe VI Auditorium is in Calle Diputado Ignacio, Mena, Estepona.
