EsteponaGO – Manga, video gaming, and comic culture – Costa News Spain



EsteponGO! EsteponGO! opens its doors on Saturday and Sunday.

The event, which will take place at the Exhibition and Congress Centre in February 1, 2, and has a charitable element to it as well, is taking place on those dates. Organised in conjunction with the NGO Infancia Solidaria y Eventos GO. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Infancia Solidaria Foundation. This NGO provides surgical assistance to children in developing nations so they can undergo heart surgery in Spain thanks to agreements it has with various Andalusian Hospitals.

Over the course of the weekend, the attendees will have the opportunity to take part in more than 80 events, including the exhibitions by the Andalusian expert on retro toys, toy restoration, and Ligimo & Eliana – family humor for TikTok & YouTube users. Also, the incredibly talented violinist Mario Sanz will perform an exclusive concert.

At the event, attendees will find different zones, such as a ‘gamer zone’ with PlayStation 4 screens and arcade games to play, gamer tournaments on a giant screen, and continuous workshops all weekend.

There will also be a main stage for K-pop dance contests with more than €400 in prizes and a Cosplay contest. The proposed activities will include a variety of free-play and multi-adventure games, including Jenga and can-throwing, soft archery and giant-sized Connect 4.

Fans can also purchase merchandise and original artworks from the 30+ artists attending the event.

EsteponGO! It has been a long-standing event that is highly respected in Andalusia’s geek community and considered to be one of the best in Spain.

The festival will be open on Sunday, 1 February, from 11am-8pm. Entry is €4 per day.
