When will the terrible weather in Spain stop? Experts give the GOOD news to CSN

Experts have predicted that the wet, windy weather which has been affecting Spain’s skies for several weeks is finally ending.

The Meteorologists at El Tiempo, the rains will begin to subside from Monday thanks to an anticyclone that will ‘act as a shield against new Atlantic storms.’

The last storm Martinho will pass through this weekend, with heavy showers predicted for Galicia and Extremadura. Madrid, Toledo, and parts of the Pyrenees are also expected to be affected.

There will be very few showers next week, representing a ‘much more stable’ period compared to the first half of March.

The Costa del Sol is set to see a lot of sun in the second half of this week, with temperatures rising back up into the 20s.

It comes after forecasters this week predicted April will be ‘warmer than usual’ this year.

Storm Martinho is expected to weaken by tonight and will eventually ‘dissipate completely’.

Spain has had one of the wettest Marches ever recorded. In just 12 days there have been four named hurricanes, two of which hit this week: Laurence and Martinho.

Storm Laurence killed at least three people in Andalucia. Hundreds of people had to be evacuated from Malaga, Marbella and Sevilla due to flooding.

A video viral from Cordoba featured a brave woman who jumped into a stream in order to rescue a drowning kitten.

In Madrid, the authorities were forced by Storm Martinho to open a temporary dam in order to relieve pressure.
