TWO British men behind a botched ‘prison-break’ to rescue a drug trafficker, have lost their Suprme Court appeal against drug convictions in Ibiza.
The unnamed pair, aged 30 and 24, were arrested in 2023. They were convicted last fall.
They were each given eight years in prison along with fines of €945,000.
The men attempted to release an arrested associate who was being transported by a Guardia Civil vehicle for a dental visit.

The attempt to cut the Guardia car off was unsuccessful.
Though the prisoner escaped- allegedly a major player in a British drug trafficking crew with a UK arrest and extradition warrant in his name – he was recaptured.
His ‘rescuers’ pistol-whipped two officers during the assualt.
The two Brits were subsequently arrested but searches then uncovered drugs valued at over €237,000 in one of their homes and over €80,000 in cash.
A rented storage area and container of a warehouse company were also found to contain narcotics.
When they were arrested, both Brits stated that they had only been in Ibiza temporarily – one was on vacation and the second as a remote employee.
The ‘holidaymaker’ was detained at the airport ahead of his flight to London.
The British nationals were found guilty of drugs by the Balearic Islands High Court in November last year.
This led to the duo being convicted of a total 11 violations of constitutional right between them.
The right to privacy, the presumption that one is innocent, and the right for judicial protection were all included.
All appeals were dismissed by the Supreme Court.
