TOMMY Robinson was forced to abandon Spain this week after making a break for the Costa Blanca.
The far-right instigator left the UK on July 28 after being arrested under counter terrorism powers at the Channel Tunnel terminal at Folkestone.
His immediate whereabouts were unknown, but it was suspected that he might turn up at one of his favoured haunts in Spain.
While laying low the 41-year-old posted a series of inflammatory social media videos calling for ‘mass deportations’, which coincided with days of violent far-right riots across the UK.
Gangs in cities around England gathered to target hotels where immigrants and asylum seekers were staying, some of which were barricaded and set alight with people inside.
Other mobs formed to target black and non-white people in England going about their business.
Meanwhile, a team of online sleuths and journalists were keenly studying every video Robinson – real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon – put online for clues as to his location.
It seems that his first instincts had been to seek refuge on the Costa Blanca, as he was initially traced to Valencia train station after a few days of laying low nearby.
From there he was tracked to Vienna airport – and then onto the popular holiday resort of Ayia Napa in Cyprus.
It has been revealed that he is staying in a five-star all-inclusive, where he has been spotted sunning himself at the pool, hitting the cross-trainer, reading a book and playing on his phone.
Despite the intense media coverage surrounding his activities and whereabouts – with security officials in the UK upgrading his official status from just being a public nuisance to something far more serious – Yaxley-Lennon has denied he is ‘on the run.’
He told Indian TV channel (and CNN affiliate) CNN-News18 that he hadn’t fled the UK.
“I am on holiday with my children, that was planned. I never received any court documentation summoning me to court.
“I am not on bail to attend court. There was a process the court has to go to, that process is not to give information to far-left organisations.”
However, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer warned ominously that those ‘whipping up this action online and then running away themselves’ would face consequences.
