Reformed 500-year-old villa goes on sale for €10.8 million in Spain’s Ibiza


A TRADITIONAL Ibiza house dating back 500-years and which was totally redesigned has been for put for sale with a €10.8 million price tag.

The historic property is located in Sant Mateu and has been named Finca Mateo covering 487 m2 on a large plot of land.

The house combines ‘historic charm with luxury comfort’, according to Tim Stacey, sales and rental manager at Charles Marlow Ibiza.

“With its 500-year legacy, this captivating estate is nestled among ancient terraces, providing the serenity of sanctuary and mesmerising valley views,“ he added.

Two decades ago, the property underwent a total transformation under the prestigious architect Pascal Cheikh Djavadi.

It was recently went through a makeover by a well-known interior designer.

The main house has two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.

Additional guest accommodation, also with en-suite bathrooms, has been seamlessly integrated into the exterior of the property, which also has a 17-metre swimming pool.

Ibiza has seen a boost in demand for luxury beach front properties since the end of the Covid pandemic.
