The Reial Mallorca Foundation and the RCD Mallorca Football Club have renewed their agreement to collaborate with the Mallorca Integra Foundation on projects and programs that benefit the community. These include LaLiga Genuine, Cambiando Miradas and other similar initiatives.
The agreement was signed at the newly refurbished Son Moix Stadium, by RCD Mallorca’s CEO of Business, Alfonso Díaz, and the co-founder of the Mallorca Integra Foundation, Aurora Sampol. The Foundation, founded in 2002, aims to provide spaces for people and groups in need. This includes children, people with disabilities, youths at risk of exclusion from society, and the elderly.
LaLiga Genuine, a project aimed at making football accessible to people who have developmental disabilities, is an initiative that was launched in 2009. The project’s motto is “sharing before competition” and it puts sportsmanship, inclusion and winning above all else. Cambiando Miradas consists of a variety of awareness classes organised by RCD Mallorca, the Mallorca Integra Foundation and is aimed at promoting inclusion for aspiring athletes of all ethnicities and development backgrounds. Students can interact with RCD Mallorca players during the courses.
RCD Mallorca has announced that they will be making significant improvements to the stadium in order to make it accessible for fan and community events. New improvements include a RCD Mallorca official store, public access area and sports pub.
