Nine of the 10 most expensive homes in Spain are on the Costa del Sol, study reveals 


A PROPERTY portal has nine out of its 10 most expensive homes in Spain all located on the Costa del Sol with prices ranging between €22 and €35 million.

The only place outside Malaga province in the idealista rankings – and seventh on the list- is a house on Mallorca at Andratx which has a €24.5 million asking price.

A mansion in Marbella’s Las Lomas urbanisation leads the list at €35 million.

Covering 2,000 m2 with sea views, it consists of 16 bedrooms, a games room, swimming pool, wine cellar and a tennis court.

In second place is a modern villa in the La Zagaleta area of Benahavis, with 11 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms.

Luxury facilities include a spa, gym, wine cellar and a private cinema room with the property costing €29 million.

On Marbella’s so-called Golden Mile, the third most expensive house in Spain comes in €29 million.

It has six bedrooms, as well as a gym, wine cellar, games room and a long list of amenities.

In fourth place is another Marbella house covering 3,000 m2 with 11 bedrooms and a €28 million price tag.

Half-a-million euros cheaper is the the fifth-ranked 2,000 m2 villa in the Cascada de Camojan area.
