A MAN suffering with mental health problems has been arrested by the Guardia Civil for sending bomb warnings via email which claimed devices were going to be detonated in four Valencia schools to ‘kill as many people as possible’.

The 24-year old detainee, from Paterna, gave a false address and a fake telephone number.

He said he would enter buildings with ‘several firearms’ and even apologised to parents for what he planned to do.

GUARDIA CIVIL OFFICERS ATTENDED CHIVA SCHOOL on Thursday

Identifying himself as H.F.P., schools in Chiva, Buñol, Yatova and Siete Aguas all received the threatening emails on Thursday.

The Guardia Civil tracked him via his IP address and took him to a Paterna Day Centre for people with mental issues. He was examined by a psychiatrist.

The man in the email said that he was a member 764, a terrorist group.

The FBI in America has investigated people who claim to belong to the group.

US media reported that the group operated on platforms such Discord and Telegram. Its members were found guilty of abusing children and young people aged between eight and seventeen.

Despite not believing the man, the Guardia Civil still sent officers into schools in several municipalities. Lessons were disrupted as 27 centers were cleared.

In Chiva, pupils were told to stay at home as classes were suspended, while in Turis, Buñol, and Loriguilla, parents were told to go to schools to pick up their children.

Requena City Council was forced to tell parents, that classes are running as normal. Students do not need to go home.
