The Howlin’ Ramblers are about to rock Louie Louie from its relaxed slumber in Estepona.
Howlin’ Ramblers open fire with a lot of rock with a lot of roll, an experienced swing and roots musical combo who draw on the likes of Charlie Feathers, Hank Williams and Elmore James.
Their journey began in 2016. Their name is a tribute to the roots of rock’n’roll – blues (Howlin’ Wolf) and country (Hank ‘the Ramblin’ Man’ Williams). Over the years, the quintet from the South of Spain has developed its own sound that has been defined as raw and wild ‘Rockabilly- Stomp and Rockin’ Blues-Bop’. Swinging roots-blues bands aren’t like other South coast bands that rely on the same old standard songs. They are the real deal in this case, belting out original rock’n’roll in English with a Cádiz accent.
The best way to prepare for the summer is to attend a legendary rock concert in Estepona. Howlin’ Ramblers will play Louie Louie, opposite Estepona Harbour on Friday 16th May at 11.30pm. The gig is €11 in advance with tickets from woutick.com.
