German tourists are arrested for ‘defecating in lifts’ of Mallorca hotel and ‘emptying fire extinguishers’

TWO German tourists appeared in court on Monday after causing extensive damage to a hotel in Arenal, a small tourist town south of Palma.

The pair of 20-year-old males were arrested by the Policia Nacional after reportedly destroying a mattress, damaging furniture, letting off two fire extinguishers, disturbing other guests and even excreting in a lift at Hotel Leblon on Carrer de Trasime.

The defecating duo, who were visiting Mallorca together with their partners, were reported to police by the hotel’s owner.

They were arrested on Sunday and spent a night in prison before appearing in court the following day.

The pair were finally released after paying a €500 bail, equivalent to the total cost of the damage caused.
