Missing Danish man may have ended up in Estepona

Estepona could be the final destination for a missing Danish national

A Danish journalist has been searching for information on Jan Fogde. He is a Danishman who disappeared 35 years ago. It’s possible that he may have moved to Estepona, or somewhere else along the Costa del Sol.

Kasper Troels Nørregaard, investigating the case, is appealing to locals for any clues about Fogde’s whereabouts. Recent evidence indicates that Jan Fogde’s last known location was the western Costa del Sol.

Jan Fogde was born in 1949. He would be 75 years old today. Fogde is described as a tall, strong individual (about 1.91 meters), who smoked and drank a lot of coffee. He was a stamp collector who also worked as a taxi driver, tour guide, and spoke Spanish.

Around November or December 1990 his car was discovered abandoned at a Danish train station. Estepona was one of his favorite destinations. It’s believed that he may have traveled south by train or bus to Spain.

Journalist Nørregaard is urging anyone in Estepona who might have encountered a man matching Fogde’s description in the 1990s or later to come forward. Some locals who worked in taxis, restaurants, hotels, or bars may remember a foreigner who was quiet and kept to himself. Even the smallest details can be crucial.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Kasper Troels Nørregaard at kt@missingmedia.dk. You could help solve a decades-old mystery.
