In mid-February, investigations began after the suspect forced open the front door and stole two mobile phones, a cash register and even a surveillance camera.

The 45 year old thief committed five additional robberies within the next three week period, entering through the front entry.

He stole alcohol from the police in a few robberies. This suggested to them that he did not act as part of any organised gang.

Police were able identify the perpetrator and led to his arrest.

Stolen items totalled a value of over €2,000 in addition to significant damage done to windows, doors and furniture.
